Keville Enterprises Inc. is Hiring an Electrical Construction Inspector Near Secaucus, NJ

Keville Enterprises, Inc. a construction management and inspection firm is looking to hire an Electrical Construction Inspector for the Portal North Bridge Project, located in the co-located Project Office in Kearny, NJ. A conscientious and motivated person with a positive attitude is a must!

The Electrical Construction Inspector will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and monitoring inspection efforts in a specific discipline/trade on large size and complex projects to determine that Contractor's construction activities are monitored and controlled in accordance with design plans, specifications, and contractual requirements;
  • Plans and conducts tasks requiring the evaluation, selection, substantial adaptation and modification of standard construction engineering techniques, procedures and criteria;

• Reviews submittals by contracts for conformance with the construction contract documents, act as a technical liaison between contractor and design engineering staff; • Proficient in applying standard testing techniques and procedures for the verification of material

  • Read and interpret complex contract documents

• Efficient report-writing, communication, managerial skills and demonstrated ability to resolve field issues in a timely manner. Identify and assisting with the resolution of project issues; • Produce thorough inspection reports and maintain detailed records of work performed

  • Produce as-constructed schedules and progress trackers
  • Use good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all parties

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 year electrical engineering degree or degree in a related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of construction related experience
  • NJT. NJDOT or NJTA experience
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Hour Training
  • Bridge, rail or highway construction experience
  • All jurisdictional certificates and state requirements as necessary
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Environment and Physical Requirements:

Able to work a shift schedule and/or flexible schedules as required to support the workload, to include nights and weekends. Candidate must have the ability to work in inclement weather, heights, confined spaces and marine environments.
